Polydextrose, E1200, Cas no.68424-04-4, food sweetener, manufacturing process from chemical synthesis, raw materials dextrose (glucose), sorbitol and citric acid. Characteristics: water-soluble, synthetic polymer of glucose, fresh taste and high solubility, stable at high temperature conditions, a dietary fibre with prebiotic properties.
Function: used to increase the non-dietary fiber content of food. Polydextrose is frequently used as an ingredient in low-carb, sugar-free, and diabetic cooking recipes.
