Sorbitol is a new kind of sweetener extracted from glucose, with the molecular fromula C6H14O6,molecular weight 182.17.
Sorbitol is colorless, odorless, clear and sticky liquid or crystalline powder with sweet taste, with excellent characters of freshness-maintain, fragrant-retain, color-keep and wetness.
Characteristics of Sorbitol:
1. With refreshing sweetness, 60% sweetness of sucrose, low calorific value
2. With good moisture absorption, it's used in food to prevent food drying and aging, extend product shelf life.
3. As non-volatile sugar polyol, it can keep food aroma.

Application of Sorbitol:
Sorbitol is widely used in ice cream, cakes, drinks, candy toothpaste etc.. It can be used as raw material of synthetic vitamin c in medicine. Also as sugared substitute materials.
