Xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS), is a functional polysaccharide formed by connecting 2-7 xylose molecules with β-1,4 glucosidic bond.The main components are Xylobiose, Xylotriose and Xylotetraose.Compared with the Soybean oligosaccharides, Fructo-oligosaccharide and Isomalto-oligosaccharide commonly used by people,it has unique advantages can can selectively promote the proliferation activity of intestinal bifidobacteria. Its function of bifidogenic factor is 10-20 times higher than that of other polysaccharides. It is recognized as s super prebiotics bifidogenic factor and a healthy food to balance the microecological environment in human intestinal tract

How does XOS work?
Biologically, XOS could stimulate bifidobacterium and lactobacillus of hind intestine, stimulate beneficial bacteria and inhibit pathogenic bacteria;
Chemically, Beneficial bacteria ferment XOS as energy source and produce SCFA, increase SCFA concentration of intestine and decrease pH value of intestine, destroy the growth environment of pathogenic bacteria.
